PROJECT: Fallen Tree in Home
LOCATION: Hall County
EXISTING CONDITION: A tree fell on the house and broke several rafters and decking, which caused water to enter the home that damaged a large amount of insulation and drywall.
CUSTOMER'S REQUEST: In addition to removing the fallen tree, so as to avoid further issues with older trees on their property, they also wanted several other trees cut around property. To repair the damage, we were asked to remove shingles only in damaged area and to match the new material with the existing shingles. They also wanted several portions of their gutters and siding repaired, as well as their interior ceilings.
PROCESS: After removing several trees, a number of existing shingles, and decking, we replaced the broken rafters, installed new shingles, and repaired the deck. We also installed new vinyl soffit and fascia, and added new gutters and gutter covers for the entire house. To remedy the interior problems, we fixed all of the damaged drywall and removed the popcorn texture from the ceilings, leaving a smooth, beautifully repainted surface.
