Even as a child growing up in San Lorenzo, California, Mirko Attolini had a thirst for building and his early love of construction was fostered by his Italian grandfather, who spent his entire adult life working as a successful homebuilder. During his summer visits to Italy, Mirko enjoyed helping his grandfather and uncle, who also worked in the building industry, with their projects.
Thankfully, Mirko's father had a career which provided the family with wonderful opportunities for world travel, so it was during these adventures that Mirko's interest in architecture, interior design and building truly evolved into a lifelong passion.
During his college years, Mirko's dynamic progression in the construction industry ranged from working at Home Depot-to gain a thorough knowledge of building tools and the various mediums of construction-to working with Habitat for Humanity, where he learned the fundamentals of construction while also earning an architectural degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
Immediately following graduation, Mirko accepted a project engineer position, where he played an integral role in renovating the $31 million Berkeley Public Library in California before working as a project engineer on the $65 million Santa Clara (CA) Public Library.
From there, Mirko accepted several leadership positions within the home building industry in Florida and Georgia, where he built houses ranging from $250,000-$500,000 with Pulte Homes, Legacy Communities, and US Home. During this time, he also personally purchased, renovated, and leased various investment properties across Metro Atlanta.
In the spring of 2009, Mirko made the decision to take his abundant experience in construction to begin his own thriving company, Critical Real Estate Services, which offered complete home renovation services; however, in the spring of 2013, having passed both Georgia Residential Basic Individual Builders Exams-to earn an active Georgia Builders License-he established CRES Builders Corp. which now offers custom home building as one of its services.
Today, Mirko is thrilled to be using his passion for building in a capacity which truly serves his church, family, and community through helping local customers create homes that they're thrilled to live in.
